Nice big open area with a relatively new playground, several picnic areas, a soccer field with goals, baseball/softball backstop, and many benches and trashcans. Would certainly have to be considered a large park in the city of Norman, maybe the largest one I've been to and I've lived here for 38 years. More then enough room to do whatever you want, even if there were many other visitors there. I inserted 8 am - 8 pm for summer hours but as with all parks in Norman, the area is open from sunrise to sunset.
Frances cate is a big park with a couple of sheltered picnic areas. It was some toys to play on, a couple of soccer goals, & 1 baseball backstop. It does need some work though, but the city is slowly making improvements.
A very large neighborhood park with plenty of space to play most any outdoor sports. New playground equipment. A very large perimeter that's good for walking/jogging/running. It has a new pavilion with picnic tables under it. A spacious & accessible park.
Good place for kids
I grew up at this park and I am now taking my kids to it. My kids will play while my husband and I jog around the sidewalk to get some exercise in. This is a great place to relax and there is a porch swing for the adults to sit on while the kids play.
